Proceedings of 2001 Finnish Signal Processing Symposium

finsig01.gif (4370 bytes)—2001 Finnish Signal Processing Symposium—will be held at Helsinki University of Technology (Espoo, Finland) on June 5, 2001. The symposium is meant for young researchers (M.Sc., Lic.Tech., and Ph.D. students) specializing in signal processing. FINSIG’01 will be devoted to theory, design, and applications of signal processing with special emphasis on signal processing for wireless communications. Papers describing new research are invited for technical sessions on, but not limited to, the following topics:

• Audio Signal Processing
• Communications Signal Processing
• DSP Education
• Fast DSP Algorithms
• Fuzzy Methods and Genetic Algorithms
• Image and Multidimensional Signal Processing
• Linear Filter Design and Structures
• Medical Image and Signal Processing
• Multimedia and Virtual Reality
• Neural Networks for Signal Processing
• Nonlinear Signal Processing
• Speech Processing (Coding, Recognition, Synthesis)
• VLSI for Signal Processing
• Wavelets and Filter Banks

The final papers will be published in the CD-ROM Proceedings of FINSIG’01 that will be available at the symposium.
