Demonstrations
We have the pleasure to invite you to present technology demonstrations at the AES16 International conference. These will be additional to any demonstrations that will be made as part of your oral presentations during the paper sessions.
As part of the Saturday program, the poster session will also enable people to participate demonstations. Additionally, it will be possible to run demos during lunch times and also during Sunday afternoon.
At this time a limited number of demo rooms have been reserved for this purpose.
If you are interested in presenting a demo, please inform us asap. As there are a limited number of rooms, the selection of demos will be made by the AES16 committee at their discretion. To assess the value of the demo, please include the following information:
- 1) Title of demo
- 2) Demonstrators name(s)
- 3) Organisation or affiliation
- 4) What the demo illustrates and how (audio and/or video, 3D or
- multichannel sound, etc)
- 5) Which paper is it linked to, if any
- 6) A short description of the system
Genelec will be providing loudspeakers for the conference, so if you have any needs in this area, please ask. Signal cables will NOT be provided. No guarantees can be made regarding the loan of loudspeakers, but we will try our best to assist in this area.
Some general game rules:
- Demonstrations must be non-commercial in nature and MUST present new/novel technology
- The setup of the demo is the responsibility of the demonstrator. Some limited assistance can be provided by the AES16 demo crew
- Only conference delegates can present demonstrations
- No commercial advertising material can be given away
- Demo rooms will be locked outside the demostration periods. Beyond this, the responsibility for the demonstration equipment lies in the hands of the demonstrator.
