Test Creation - User's Manual

AB Playlist Creation Screen

This screen contains following areas and buttons from top to bottom:

Samples Area:

• Samples list box: Samples are read from the test configuration file and shown in the Samples list box. These values can not be changed using this user interface. They can be influenced through Test Creation or editing test configuration file.

Test Items Area:

• Test Items list box: If test items file already exists, its contents will be shown in the Test Items list box. This list box can be manipulated using add delete and create buttons and relating fields and radio buttons.
• Test Items can be added to the list by typing sample ids to the A id, B id and depending on the test type maybe also to C id, or X id fields.
• Clicking the Add item button will cause that test item having next available number and containing samples specified by the id fields, will be added to the list. The whole list can be created manually.
• Clicking the Create random items button will generate Test item list which will have all possible permutations of the samples. Clicking Create random items again will add more items to the existing list.
• If Pairs once radio button is pressed e.g. pair (sample 1, sample 2) is considered to be same as pair (sample 2, sample 1) and only one of them is accepted to the list. If Pairs both ways is pressed, both pairs will be accepted.
• With Delete item button selected item can be deleted from the list.

Playlist Area:

• Playlist list box: If playlist file already exists, its contents will be shown in the Test Items list box. This list box can be manipulated using add delete and create buttons and relating field.
• Test Items can be added to the Playlist by typing Item ids to the Item id field and clicking the Add item button. Item will appear to the list after selected Item. Only those Items that appear in the Test items list can be added. The whole list can be created manually this way.
• Clicking the Create random playlist button will clear the playlist and generate a new Playlist which will have all Test items from the Test item list in random order.
• With Delete item button selected item can be deleted from the list.

Playlist Save Control Area

• Save Item button will open a dialog to specify the filename and the directory where to save the test items.

  

  As a default program supposes that the file that is being saved is named to test.items and is saved to the test home directory (directory where the test creation has been started). If directory has already file with the same name, program warns and asks if it should be repalced with the new one.

• Save playlist button will open a dialog to specify the filename and the directory where to save the playlist.

• Quit will end the session and undo any changes made in the test items and playlist after last save. It also prompts user for confirmation before playlist creation is ended.
